The song Day of Heave Ho came out of a play I wrote and directed for the Fresno Rogue Festival in 2010. The song wasnt even conceived until 2 months after the show closed. It just kepts gnawing at me until i sat down and flushed it out.

This is what musicians call a Rewrite. I first sang the song and recorded it with my digital recorder, then I gave that to a musician friend for 3 decades, who put together a wonderful rendition with his multi channel recording software Sibelius.The version of that song sat for over 4 years until I presented it at a local Songwriters Workshop. Geoff Thurman decided that he wanted to help me make a viable demo from the song, and Waalah! New and improved version of The Day of Heave Ho and the beginning of the best friends we could be for each other. Geoff knocked it (the song) out in under an hour. Two separate guitar tracks and one vocal track all done and perfect in an hour. I know he practiced this song over a couple weeks, and today, he showed me what a real pro he is. Update July 23, 2018 My friend and brother, Mr. Geoff Thurman, passed away on January 12, 2018. I'm sure one of the two songs im writing about my time on earth knowing and performing with Geoff Thurman, will make it to my bandcamp home page. : Update: The song is Gracious Troubadour and it's in the album in both an acoustic and rock rendition.

This version is without any of the added music tracks from the production engineer and musician, Jeff Lantz, that are now in my latest and finished version of Day of Heave Ho soon to be added on my home page.
